Celebrating Our 10th Wedding Anniversary

This past Friday, June 13th, Jason and I celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary. Wow! Ten years have truly gone by so fast for us. In celebration of this milestone in our lives we rented a cabin in the mountains for two days. It was a cute little cabin that was very secluded and had an amazing view of Pikes Peak from the deck. For our anniversary dinner we had fondue at what we believe to be the absolute best fondue restaurant in Colorado. The Mona Lisa. After our dinner we returned to the cabin, opened up the hot tub on the deck, poured a glass of cherry wine and did some star gazing. The weather was a little cool so it made our hot tubbing that much better! The next day we enjoyed some antique shopping, a short stop in Cripple Creek, more wonderful food, and a beautiful drive through the mountains.

These rocking chairs on the deck were huge and so comfortable

While we were antique shopping we came across this beautiful Victor Victrola phonograph. It was made in 1914. We thought it made a great anniversary present. The dealer also let us pick fifteen 78's out of this box that had about a hundred or so in it. It was so much fun to dig through that kind of history. The newest 78 we have is from 1909. So cool to listen to!! The kids got a pretty good kick out of it when we got home.

Here's to many more wonderful years together!!
