Evening Out

Good Friends, Good Food, Good Times!!

Enjoying The Sunshine

We took advantage of the warm weather we had today and took the kiddos up to the Shrine and to the Zoo. You can see the entire city from the top of the Shrine. It was very beautiful up there. The highlight of our zoo trip this time was the Budgie Buddies. All of the kiddos were able to go in and feed the birds. I have never seen so many birds in one room!

Westcliffe Pizza Run

So, a while back we just happened to stumble upon this great pizza parlor in the little town of Westcliffe. It is in a very old building that is pretty cool. The pizza is made from scratch after you place your order and is so worth the wait! While they are making your pizza they have a room just for kids to go play in. Its full of arcade games and even has a bounce house in it. The best part about this room...its free!!! You can't beat that. Westcliffe is right at an hour from where we live so today we decided to make a day of it. On our trip there we stopped to go check out some beautiful streams and we watched some adorable little lambs running around (so so cute!!). On the trip back we found a nice place for Tyler to shoot his 22 that he got for Christmas. When we finally got home we were all wiped out. It was a great way to spend our Sunday together.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

In school the kiddos celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday. They made these fun hats that they wear everyday after school. They both like them but John really really likes his. He wears it until bedtime. Silly boy.

Today you are you, that is truer than true.
There is no one alive who is youer than you.

Fishing The San Juan

Jason and a friend took a trip to New Mexico to fish the famous San Juan river. They spent three days in what they would call "Paradise". I honestly do not see how you can stand in the middle of a river in February for three days and call that paradise. However, as you can see from the pictures they truly were in heaven. It has taken him lots of practice to master the fly fishing technique. From what I understand it is not easy to learn. He has been so diligent in learning this new hobby. All of his time in the river paid off for him during this fishing trip. I'm so proud of my manly fisherman :o) He rocks!!

Tooth Fairy Visits

Nicholas took a special trip to the dentist office. He had a front tooth that we have been keeping an eye on for a few years now. The tooth had suffered some kind of trauma when he was much smaller and the root of it had been dead for a while. Well, the day finally came that the tooth had to be pulled. He was a trooper! The tooth fairy coming to visit for the first time was so exciting. He woke up with four quarters under his pillow and took them straight to Walmart and bought some toy cars. Its a little funny to see him without that front tooth and no new tooth coming in. We are hoping that the new tooth will decide to show itself sooner than later.

Last smile with a full set of baby teeth.
